			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Acknowledging excellence and encouraging growth is a part and parcel of the culture of VIS. Every month the management rewards the employees who have performed exceptionally well throughout the month.</p>
<p>The employees to be awarded are selected depending on their performance. Five essential parameters to rate the performance are Quality, Quantity, Initiatives, Discipline and Attendance. Each of these carries four marks and a weekly record of each employee is maintained on this basis. At the end of the month, the marks are totaled and five employees are short-listed to be given the awards according to their marks from 15<sup>th</sup> day of the previous month to the same day of that month.</p>
<p>Each award consists of a certificate of appreciation along with some cash-prize.</p>
<p>These awards are as follows:</p>
<ul>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Platinum      Award</span>: </strong>This award is given to the best performer of the month.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Gold Award</span>: </strong>It is given to the second best performer of the month.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Silver      Award</span>: </strong>The third best performer gets this prize.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Leadership      Award</span>: </strong>This award is given to that team leader who has guided the      team members very well based on his/her leadership skills.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Pioneer      Award</span>: </strong>This award is given to that person who has given a      brilliant suggestion that helped in the growth and improvement of the      company.</li>
</ul>
<p>This month The Employee of the Month event was held on November 18. All the employees were eagerly waiting for the names to be declared. Mr. Amit Arora, the worthy Vice President of the company took the pleasure to distribute the awards. To every one’s surprise Content Writing Department came out to be the overall achiever.</p>
<p>The Platinum award went to Ranjit Singh. Ankur Sharma received the Gold Award while Rahul Deora bagged the Silver Award. Rajdeep Kaur Brar much deservingly got the Leadership Award second time in a row. Further the Pioneer Award went to Ankur Sharma for his brilliant suggestion about Halloween that garnered great results. Thus he made a record of sorts by receiving two awards in the same month. Then we all celebrated the achievement by cutting the cake.</p>
<p>This event is one of the best methods of praising the employees and encouraging them to improve their work. It also helps in maintaining an environment of positive competition where every one tries to give their best.</p>
