For anyone who is working, the best day of the month is the one, on which you get your salary. And it is always slightly more special, when it is your first salary in a new organization.
This was perhaps why, April 7th, 2010, was all the more important for our Delhi team, because it was the first salary for the entire team! Since this is a new office and a brand new team as well, the excitement of getting the first salary was quite palpable.
There was an additional point for excitement – Mr. Amit Arora was also in town. He interacted with the team and clicked few pics as well.
However, the snack party was the highlight of the day – something Amit sir initiated! Everyone enjoyed the break from work, as they munched on their burgers and sipped the cold drinks (a welcome relief in the hot Delhi summers!)
But the best part of the day was definitely around 5:45 in the evening – the time when Mr. Amit Arora and Mr. Sagar Dhingra gave out the first ever salary checks of the Delhi office!! It was a wonderful gesture on their part to personally hand out the first salary checks. Each team member was given their respective checks, along with a word of appreciation and encouragement.
Looks like the Delhi team is all set to shine bright in the Virka family!!
Indeed it was a memorable day for all of us in delhi branch!!!!!!!!!!!
